I spent my day shopping for fresh local produce for Friday’s dinner function for 12 and Saturday’s 21st for 110, and I spotted these beautiful baby carrots in Fruit and Veg. They even had different coloured ones! So delicious cooked with a little butter, or blanch them and add to a a fresh summer salad. Carrot and beetroot – such a delicious combo!

I bought mine for Saturday night’s function.

    Asparagus, pea and Parma ham soup

    Springbok fillet with wild mushroom jus

    Herb-crushed potatoes, baby carrots and fine beans

    Lemon tart and berry sorbet
